How can I upgrade my motor from 85 Nm to 100 Nm?

To upgrade from 85 Nm to 100 Nm, open the Bosch Flow app with your bike connected via Bluetooth. Download the firmware update under system updates, then go to 'Custom Riding Modes' and manually drag the torque slider up to 100 Nm.

The Upgrade Process (Step-by-Step)

Once you have confirmed that you have a compatible Gen 5 motor, you can carry out the upgrade yourself straight away via an 'over-the-air' update.

  1. Download the Bosch 'Flow' app: make sure the Bosch eBike Flow app on your smartphone is updated to the very latest version via the App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Connect your bike: turn on your e-bike and ensure it is successfully connected to the app on your phone via Bluetooth.
  3. Download the firmware: in the app, navigate to the system updates menu. If your bike is eligible, you will see a notification for a new firmware update here (often referred to as 'Performance Upgrade'). Download and install this update.
  4. Adjust the sliders: after installation, the capacity is unlocked, but you will still need to activate it manually.

    • In the Flow app, go to Custom Riding Modes (such as Turbo, eMTB or Cargo).

    • You will now see sliders for Torque, Dynamic and Support.

    • Drag the torque slider all the way up to 100 Nm.
