From and until what age can I cycle with my children on my Urban Arrow?

The Urban Arrow Family, FamilyNext and Breeze are specifically designed for transporting children. The age at which you can ride with your kids on an Urban Arrow bike depends on several factors, including their weight and height, as well as the specific configuration of the bike.

Thanks to the convenient three-point seat belts and the EPP box, which acts like a large upside-down helmet, you can always take your little passengers with you safely. From the moment your baby can sit upright and hold their head steady, usually around three months, you can take them along in the cargo bike using a car seat and the appropriate adapter. It is, of course, wise to ride calmly and avoid hitting speed bumps at 25 km/h. Pay close attention to how your child reacts to riding in the bike, as you as a parent are the best judge of whether your little one feels comfortable during the ride.

For children who have outgrown the car seat but are not yet ready to sit independently on the bench, there are several options available in our range, such as an adapter for a child seat inside the box or on the rear carrier. There are also accessories on the market from other brands, such as the Melia toddler seat.

Children can ride along in a cargo bike until they become too big to sit comfortably in the box. In most cases, kids up to around seven or eight years old can enjoy riding in the Urban Arrow Family or FamilyNext. However, every child is unique, so for some, this transition may happen a little earlier or later. The most important thing is that your little ones sit comfortably and safely while you enjoy your adventures together.

Urban Arrow Breeze

The minimum recommended age for carrying children on the Breeze is nine months, provided they are seated in a compatible child seat. Always make sure that the seat is properly installed and securely adjusted to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for your child during your rides. The same applies to this bike, as children can continue to ride on the Breeze as long as they sit comfortably and safely, and the maximum weight limit is not exceeded.
